Welcome to the new home of my oldphotos on regional railroads. Most were shot locally in Nebraska in the 1990's. There's also some photos by my dad and vintage MoPac by Lee Berglund. Fallen flags, spartan cab units, cabeese and old "Junk" are my favorite subjects. Many of the places in the older shots can no longer be seen.
I live in Lincoln, Nebraska, deep in Burlington Northern Santa Fe country, home of the Havelock Shops, Hobson Yard and one of the busiest coal train-watching spots with 100 trains a day. But the mighty Missouri Pacific was the road I grew up on. It has remained a prevalent subject in my photos as I've retraced its old right-of-ways.
